The Golden Grove Inn
The chequered history of the Golden Grove Inn is felt as an almost tangible force as soon as you enter its portals for the first time. The atmosphere being the driving force behind the popularity of the Inn, which nestles in the beautiful rolling countryside of North Wales, just half a mile from the border with Cheshire
Our rural location means that we are reputedly hard to find. Here are some directions to help;
Directions from Chester: Follow the old Chester to Wrexham Road B5455 until you come to Pulford, travel past the Grosvenor Arms Hotel and turn right into Lavister Lane. Follow that lane until you come to a small junction and turn right. Travel onwards over the level crossing and bypass for approximatley 1km.
Directions from Wreham: If you take the A483 from Wrexham take the Rossett slip road off onto a double roundabout and left, turning left again for a signposted Burton. Continue along this lane as it bends round, past the garden centre and along the windy lane until you come across a very small T-junstion and turn right.Follow this lane for approximately 0.5km.
